2018 World Cup: Russia and Ukraine will not be in same group

The Russia and Ukraine national squads cannot be included in the same group in the 2018 International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) World Cup.

FIFA President Joseph “Sepp” Blatter has announced about the aforesaid, R-Sport reported.

This will be the case if Ukraine qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Since Russia will host this event, its national team will not compete in the respective qualifiers and they will directly qualify to the tournament.
