FC Goa midfielder Robert Pirès was punched in the face by Atletico de Kolkata coach Antonio López Habas, in a match between the two Indian clubs, Goa manager and Brazilian football legend Zico stated.

“One of our players said that he was beaten by the coach of the other team.

“Pirès said he was punched on the face by the Atletico coach and it is very shameful.

“I don’t think that Pirès will lie and say something that didn’t happen,” Mirror quoted Zico as saying.

Robert Pirès formerly played at Arsenal (England), and he also won both the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000 with France.
