13:19 16 October, 2014Albania national football squad manager Gianni De Biasi’s assistant Altin Lala spoke about the incident that occurred in Belgrade during the Euro 2016 qualifier against Serbia.
“It was terrible but, to our delight, no one was hurt. I’ve witnessed many things in my life, but such hatred, never. Even the law enforcers were hitting the Albania national team players.
“The path leading to our dressing room was open, where the hooligans were bursting into. Had there been 100 or 200 people there, we would have died,” Bild quoted Lala as saying.
Tuesday’s match was abandoned due to a brawl between opposition players and even some fans.
