Referees to pass drug tests

Fifa’s chief medical officer Jiri Dvorak believes it is time for referees to pass drug tests.

Under the decision of FIFA, referees will be subjected to pass a drug test just as football players, the Guardian reports.

"We have to consider referees as part of the game. We do not have an indication that this is a problem but this is something we have to look at,” Dvorak said at a conference in Budapest.
