Armenia competes in World University Championship of chess

The 13th World University Championship of chess is held in Katowice, Poland.

Armenia representatives Karen Grigoryan, Zaven Andrisian, and Tigran S. Petrosyan are participating in the men’s while Maria Gevorgyan is taking part in the women’s competition.

After five rounds, Grigoryan has scored 4 points and is leading the current standings with three other participants.

Andrisian and Petrosyan have amassed 3 points, apiece, so far.

Gevorgyan has tallied 3 points and is ninth, at present.

The tournament will end on Sunday, Armchess.am reported.
