World Championships: Anush Grigoryan advances to semifinals
14:11 21 April, 2014Anush Grigoryan (51 kg) has advanced to the semifinals at the 2014 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships, which take place in the Bulgarian capital city Sofia.
In the quarterfinals, Grigoryan, who is Armenia’s sole representative in the women’s competition, defeated her British opponent on points.
Owing to this win, the Armenian boxer not solely guaranteed a bronze medal, but she qualified for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games.
To advance to the final, Anush Grigoryan will get into the ring against the athlete from Vietnam.
