Movsesian competes in Russian Club Championship of chess

As part of the Saint Petersburg Team, Grandmaster (GM) Sergei Movsesian took part in the Russian Club Championship of chess that was held in the City of Loo.  

At the end of the competitions, the team of Movsesian—who is also a member in the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the previous World Team Chess champions, Armenian national chess team—garnered a total of 10 points placing third, overall.  

The Malakhit Team from Sverdlovsk city were crowned champions with 12 points.

The Armenian GM played six games in the tournament; he won one match and played draws in the rest.
