Armenia’s Aronian nears Carlsen for top spot – FIDE

The World Chess Federation (FIDE) has announced its Ratings for the month of May.

There is a mere 10-point difference between the current leader Magnus Carlsen of Norway and Levon Aronian of Armenia.

At present, Carlsen has 2,835 points and Aronian has 2,825 points. In the March Ratings, the difference was 15 points.
