Edna Kiplagat of Kenya won the first champion’s title at the 14th IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) World Championships in Athletics, which kicked off Saturday in Moscow.
Kiplagat was the first to cross the finish line in Women’s Marathon.
As a result, she became the first female runner to defend her champion’s title in marathon.
To note, Edna Kiplagat also won this event two years ago in South Korea.
