European championship: Armenia’s Grigoryan to wrestle for bronze medal

Grigor Grigoryan, who represents Armenia, missed the opportunity to compete for a gold medal at the European Freestyle Wrestling Championship, which is held in the Georgian capital city Tbilisi.   

In the semifinals, Grigoryan (74 kg) was defeated by Aniuar Geduev of Russia on points. Now, Armenia’s representative will compete for the bronze medal.

To note, in his starting fights Grigor Grigoryan had defeated Apostolos Taskudis of Greece and Burcă Alexandru of Moldova.    

Separately, Armenia’s Andranik Galstyan (120 kg) was unable to pass the round of 8 at the event.
