YEREVAN. – The training camp of Armenia’s under-21 national football squad got underway at capital city Yerevan’s Avan Football Academy.

Even though team manager Rafayel Nazaryan had invited 25 players to the national youth squad, Germany’s F.C. Hansa Rostock striker Sargis Adamyan and Russia’s FC Anzhi Makhachkala defender Yuri Udunyan will not be able to join the team.

Hansa has important German league games, on Tuesday and on Saturday, and since the upcoming match of Armenia’s under-21 national football squad is not an official one, the German club has the right to not to allow its player to join the national squad. Hansa also informed, however, that in the case of official matches, the German club will not restrict its player from joining the national squad.

Anzhi player Yuri Udunyan will not arrive in Yerevan likewise for the same reason, the Football Federation of Armenia official website informs.

To note, Armenia’s under-21 national football squad will play a friendly against the Armenian national team on Thursday.
