Vladimir Yengibaryan’s body to arrive in Armenia Friday

YEREVAN. – The body of Olympic boxing champion Vladimir Yengibaryan will arrive in his homeland, Armenia, on Friday via the Los Angeles-Moscow-Yerevan flight.  

The legendary boxer’s requiem ceremony will be held on the same day at Yerevan’s Saint Hovhannes Church. Yengibaryan’s funeral procession will get underway Saturday from the Church, and his body will be laid to eternal rest at Yerevan Civic Pantheon, the National Olympic Committee of Armenia website informs.   

To note, Vladimir Yengibaryan died on February 1, at the age of 80, in Los Angeles.
