Arsen Julfalakyan is Armenia’s top athlete for 2012

YEREVAN. – As a result of a survey which the Federation of Sports Journalists of Armenia conducted, London 2012 silver medal-winning Greco-Roman wrestler Arsen Julfalakyan is recognized as Armenia’s 2012 Athlete of the Year.  

The country’s sports journalists determined Armenia’s top ten athletes of the year, and the top-ten list is as follows:

1. Arsen Julfalakyan (Greco-Roman wrestling)

2. Artur Aleksanyan (Greco-Roman wrestling)

3. Hripsime Khurshudyan (weightlifting)

4. Levon Aronian (chess)

5. Yerjanik Avetisian (shooting)

6. Hovhannes Davtyan (judo)

7. Vladimir Akopian (chess)

8. Harutyun Merdinyan (gymnastics)

9. Arman Yeremyan (taekwondo)

10. Vachik Vardanyan (sambo)
