Tsarukyan: The truth is that Makhachev wants to fight me on short notice
13:15 25 April, 2024Russian mixed martial arts fighter, the number one UFC light heavyweight Arman Tsarukyan (Armenia) responded to the UFC champion in this weight category Islam Makhachev (Russia). Earlier, Makhachev said Tsarukyan refused to fight him three or four times.
"The truth is that you want to fight me on short notice to have an extra advantage. It won’t happen again though. When was the last time you fought 2 times in 6 weeks?" Arman Tsarukyan wrote on Twitter.
On 13 April, Arman Tsarukyan defeated Charles Oliveira by split decision at UFC 300 in Las Vegas.
Islam Makhachev will fight on 1 June against American Dustin Puryear, the number three ranked fighter in the lightweight division.
