Barcelona's Spanish striker Lamine Yamal has set an age record in the UEFA Champions League.

At the age of 16 years and 278 days, Yamal became the youngest footballer in history to make an assist in the Champions League playoffs, reports Opta.

In Barca’s match against PSG in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals, Brazilian forward Raphinha had scored after Yamal's pass.

Barcelona, however, lost 1-4 and was eliminated from the Champions League.

In the first leg in Paris, Barca had won 3-2.

PSG's opponents in the Champions League semifinals will be Borussia Dortmund, who overcame the Atletico Madrid "barrier" in the quarterfinals.
