UFC: Armenia's Arman Tsarukyan now ranked No. 1

The American Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) promotion of mixed martial arts (MMA) has revised its rankings after UFC 300.

As a result, Arman Tsarukyan (Armenia) rose from the fourth to the first place in the lightweight division (up to 70 kg) by defeating Charles Oliveira (Brazil) who was ranked No. 1 in this division.

The reigning champion in this weight division is Islam Makhachev (Russia).

Arman Tsarukyan has become an official contender for the UFC lightweight title and will fight with Makhachev for the belt.
