World Chess Federation Candidates Tournament: 5th round played
09:45 10 April, 2024After a day's rest, the 5th-round games were played Tuesday at the World Chess Federation (FIDE) Candidates Tournament 2024 being held in Toronto, Canada.
The first place is shared by Ian Nepomniachtchi and Dommaraju Gukesh, with 3.5 points each.
The 5th Round results are as follows:
Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa (India) vs. Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia): 0.5-0.5
Santosh Gujrathi Vidit (India) vs. Fabiano Caruana (USA): 0.5-0.5
Alireza Firouzja (France) vs. Hikaru Nakamura (USA): 0-1
Dommaraju Gukesh (India) vs. Nijat Abasov (Azerbaijan): 1-0
The winner of this tournament will contest the title with the reigning champion, Ding Liren (China).
