Armenia lose to Czech Republic

The Armenian national football team were hosted by the Czech Republic in a friendly match in Prague, and the hosts won 2-1.

Ferencvaros forward Edgar Sevikyan opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Sevikyan, 22, netted his first goal for Armenia.

The assist was by Ararat-Armenia midfielder Kamo Hovhannisyan, who made his 80th appearance in the national team.

Sparta Praha midfielder Ladislav Krejci scored the equalizing goal in the second minute of added time in the first half. And Viktoria Plzen striker Tomas Chory netted the winning goal for the Czechs in the 78th minute.

Armenia will play their next friendly match on June 4 in Ljubljana, where they will be hosted by Slovenia.

And on June 7, Armenia will play host to Kazakhstan.
