Platini to vote for Turkey as host country of Euro-2020
18:05 22 March, 2012UEFA president Michel Platini stated that he would vote for Turkey as a host country of Euro-2020 final match. However, only one thing can hamper his decision that is the selection of the capital for the Olympic Games-2020. Istanbul is among the cities claiming to host the summer Olympic Games.
Turkey has submitted a strong application for hosting Euro-2016, but France won, Platini said at the UEFA congress in Istanbul.
He believes that Turkey’s application for Euro-2020 will be strong, the only ban could be the Olympic Games, if Istanbul is selected to host it, AFP quotes Platini.
