ATP Finals: Sinner defeats Rune, Djokovic reaches semifinals

World No. 4 Jannik Sinner (Italy) defeated world No. 10 Holger Rune (Denmark) in three sets—6:2, 5:7, 6:4—in the third matches of the group stage at the ATP Finals in Turin, Italy.

Sinner recorded his third win and topped his group. Thanks to this win, world No. 1 Novak Djokovic (Serbia) took second place and also reached the semifinals.

Earlier, world No. 3 Daniil Medvedev (Russia) also had advanced to the semifinals.

World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) and world No. 8 Alexander Zverev (Germany) vie for the last spot in the semifinals.

The tennis players who take the first two places from the groups advance to the playoffs.

The prize fund of the ATP Finals, the season-ending championship of the ATP Tour, is $15 million.
