England have no footballer like Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Daily Mail

It would have been good if the English national football squad had a player like Armenian national team and Ukraine’s FC Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the British Daily Mail writes.

The prestigious newspaper ran an article on Mkhitaryan. Analyzing the game of the current England players, the Daily Mail concluded that manager Roy Hodgson’s squad does not have players like Andres Iniesta, Andrea Pirlo, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Also, Mkhitaryan, together with his Shakhtar teammates, surpassed London’s Chelsea F.C. in the UEFA Champions League match.

“Watching Mkhitaryan pull the strings for Shakhtar on Tuesday was to marvel at how far we have fallen. At the end, Micah Richards, an England international, blamed the defeat in part on being required to play an unfamiliar system.

Do you think Eriksen, Mkhitaryan or Willian would worry about that? That’s football. Thinking football.  Could Fernandinho be wrong-footed by a tweak to Shakhtar’s system? [Shakhtar manager Mircea] Lucescu’s system destroyed the foundations of British football,” the Daily Mail writes.
