Girona book their spot in La Liga

Girona will be returning to the Spanish La Liga.

In their two playoff games against Tenerife, Girona played a goalless draw in the first match, but won 3-1 in the second.

In the 2017/18 season, Girona had played in La Liga for the first time and finished tenth.

In the next season, however, they were relegated from the top Spanish football league.
