NEWS.am Sport continues to present its Olympic VLOG program about Armenia’s athletes who have qualified for the 32nd Summer Olympics to be held in Tokyo.
Levon Aghasyan: triple jump
He was born on January 19, 1995 in Kapan, Armenia.
Levon Aghasyan is the 2013 European youth champion, the 4-time winner of the European Team Championship, the 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019–2021 champion of the Balkan championships, and a participant of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
On March 8, he placed fifth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland. After a 25-year break, Aghasyan is the first Armenian track and field athlete to reach the final of the European Championships.
He qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games at the Georgian Open Championship held in Tbilisi on May 29-30.
Levon Aghasyan will start his campaign in Tokyo on August 3.
