I watched Armenian national team’s games because of its captain – Russian footballer

I gladly will play in a farewell game for Hovsepyan, Armenian capital city Yerevan’s FC Pyunik and national football squad’s now retired captain Sargis Hovsepyan’s former teammate, Russia’s FC Zenit Saint Petersburg former captain Aleksei Igonin told NEWS.am Sport. 

“I can recollect only good things about Sargis. He is a very good person. He adapted to Russia very easily; he was friends with everyone. He felt comfortable here; this likewise characterizes a man.   

I was surprised to hear that he was still playing. I was watching all of the Armenian [national] team’s games because of Sargis. It was interesting to see how he was playing. I had an impression that he had not changed at all.  

We remember him often when the Zenit 98 veterans play. I gladly will play in a farewell game for Hovsepyan. I wish him that he find himself in football in the future, too,” Aleksei Igonin said in particular.
