“I am a big fan of Mkhitaryan. I watched him at Dortmund, where he was voted player of the season and scored plenty of goals. He has lost his way at Manchester United but if Arsenal get him, with the way they play and the way Arsene Wenger is going forward with attacking players, I think he will be a sensation,” said Mersin.
As reported earlier, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s move to Arsenal is close. Mkhitaryan’s transfer is a part of the deal on transfer of Arsenal midfielder Alexis Sanchez.
As to the details of the supposed Arsenal deal, it's claimed Mkhitaryan will pocket 130,000 pounds a week as his basic salary.
The 28-year-old midfielder's current contract with Manchester United will expire in summer 2020. Mkhitaryan has played 15 matches and scored one goal in the current Premier League.
