Shevchenko to retire from professional football (VIDEO)

KYIV. – Ukrainian international striker Andriy Shevchenko has decided to end his football career. 
FC Dynamo Kyiv’s 35-year-old player stated that he is preparing to start a political career.

Shevchenko will officially announce this on Saturday.   

“I have decided on my future. I am getting ready to start a political career. I formally will announce this tomorrow [Saturday]. I hope you will support me,” rbc.ua quotes Shevchenko as saying.

To note, prior to returning to FC Dynamo Kyiv, Andriy Shevchenko also played for A.C. Milan of Italy and Chelsea F.C. of London.   
Also, he played 109 games in the Ukrainian national football team and scored 48 goals.
