Greco-Roman wrestler and Armenian Olympic Vice Champion Migran Arutyunyan has been successfully operated on in Germany, sports executive Arsen Badalyan wrote on his Facebook page.
“The operation has ended. Thanks to Dr Gerd for the work carried out. Long months of rehabilitation are still ahead. Everything is fine. The patient feels stable and well,” Badalyan wrote.
In the final of the 66 kg category Olympic tournament of Greco-Roman wrestling, the 27-year-old Armenian representative was deprived of gold medal as a result of biased refereeing.
