2018 World Cup qualifiers: Romania manager – It would be wonderful if we get 4 points against Armenia, Kazakhstan

Christoph Daum, the German manager of the Romanian national football squad, spoke about their forthcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Armenia and Kazakhstan.

“There are no small teams in Europe any more,” DIGIsport quoted Daum as saying. “That’s why we [i.e. Romania] need to approach the matches against Armenia and Kazakhstan with maximum concentration. It would be wonderful if we get 4 points in these two games.”

According to Romanian media, however, if they cannot get 4 points from these matches, Christoph Daum will be sacked.

The Armenia-Romania clash will take place on October 8 in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

And on October 11, Armenia will lock horns with Poland, in the latter’s capital city of Warsaw, and Romania will face Kazakhstan, in this country’s capital city of Astana.
