Man United offer Mkhitaryan €10mn annual salary

Manchester United continue their attempts to acquire Borussia Dortmund (BVB; Germany) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The 20-time football champions of England have offered an annual salary of €10 million to the captain of the Armenia national squad, according to Bild daily newspaper of Germany.

Newly appointed Man United manager José Mourinho is interested in the Mkhitaryan transfer, and he believes that the Armenian player will be very useful to his team.

But the German club plan to keep Mkhitaryan until the end of next season, when he will become a free agent.

In addition, Manchester United are prepared to pay €24 million for Henrikh’s transfer.
Dortmund, however, have refused to sell Mkhitaryan to them for £19 million, reported the Mirror newspaper of Great Britain.

BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke had informed that they could not agree on extending Mkhitaryan’s working contract.

And the Armenia international’s Italian agent, Mino Raiola, had noted that the 27-year-old midfielder wishes to transfer to Man United.

The Armenian player’s working contract with the German club runs until the summer of 2017.
