Armenia national football squad captain and Borussia Dortmund (BVB; Germany) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has become a main transfer target of Arsenal F.C. (England), according to ESPN.
Even though Arsenal are interested in Leicester City’s (England) Algerian midfielder Riyad Mahrez as well, signing 27-year-old Mkhitaryan is their priority this summer.
The Armenia international does not wish to extend his working contract with the German club, and which runs until the summer of 2017, and BVB demand €35 million to let him go.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored 11 goals and had 18 assists in 31 appearances in the German Bundesliga competition last season for Dortmund.
Chelsea F.C., Tottenham Hotspur (England), and Juventus (Italy) are likewise are interested in the services of the Armenia international.
