Dortmund turn down Arsenal and Chelsea in Mkhitaryan deal

In all likelihood, Armenia national football squad captain and Borussia Dortmund (BVB) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will spend another season at the German club.

Dortmund have turned down Arsenal F.C. and Chelsea F.C. (England), which wish to acquire the 27-year-old player, reported the Express newspaper of England.

After losing Mats Hummels to rivals Bayern Munich and with İlkay Gündoğan reportedly moving to Manchester City, the German club are apparently not prepared to lose any more players.
Mkhitaryan’s working contract with BVB runs until the summer of 2017, when he will be eligible to move to another club as a free agent.

The Armenian midfielder has scored 11 goals and made 18 assists in 31 appearances for Dortmund, in the German Bundesliga season that wrapped up.
