FIDE: Armenia’s Aronian retains 4th place

The World Chess Federation (FIDE) has issued its rankings for February 2016. 

Accordingly, Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian, who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia, is still fourth in the FIDE rankings.  

The reining World Champion, GM Magnus Carlsen (Norway), continues to top this list.

Team Armenia have two more representatives in the world top 100 rankings; they are GMs Gabriel Sargissian (45th), and Sergei Movsesian (98th).
