The Armenian national football squad’s and FC Shakhtar of Ukraine’s halfback Henrikh Mkhitaryan expressed his views on FC Shakhtar’s game.
“We were declared Ukraine’s champions owing to high class, team-like operations, speed, and believing in our strength. Now, we need to prepare for the Champions League. We are getting to work with a new strength.
There was a period in the previous season when we performed unsuccessfully in the Ukrainian championship and, subsequently, in the Champions League. We could say this was a blemish for the team.
[But] Now, everything is in the past and we must think about the coming season of the Champions League. We will do everything possible to at least reach the semifinals,” isport.ua quotes the 23-year-old Armenian halfback as saying.
