Armenia’s Ozbiliz refuses to transfer to Turkey

Armenia national football squad and FC Spartak Moscow (Russia) midfielder Aras Ozbiliz has refused to continue his playing career in Turkey.

Russian-Armenian sports journalist and Russia’s NTV Plus sports commentator Nobel Arustamyan informed about the above-said on the air of a sports program.

In his words, even though the nine-time champions of Russia had received offers from Turkish clubs regarding a possible transfer of Ozbiliz, the 25-year-old Armenia international had refused to move to Turkey.

“They wanted to sell Ozbiliz,” said Arustamyan. “But he refused to move to Turkey, where there were [transfer] offers from.”

There were Turkish media rumors that Bursaspor (Turkey) wanted to acquire Aras Ozbiliz, and they had even made a formal respective bid to Spartak.

The Armenian midfielder’s contract with the Russian club is expected to run until the summer of 2018.
