FIFA: Armenia continue to fall

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.

Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have dropped five more places and are ranked 89th in the new standings.

To note, the squad’s former 30th ranking was record-breaking for the country.

And the FIFA World Ranking has a new leader. 2014 FIFA World Cup runners-up Argentina have leapfrogged the reining World Cup champions Germany to first place while Belgium are third.

Armenia’s Euro 2016 qualifier opponents Portugal, Denmark, Albania and Serbia are ranked 7th, 24th, 36th and 43rd, respectively.
