Fernando Santos: Armenia national team became stronger

YEREVAN. – Portugal will do everything to take three points in Armenia, head coach Fernando Santos said during a Friday press conference in Yerevan.

“Armenia has been recently showing stronger game. They have become stronger in defense. Our goal is to advance to Euro 2015. We chose Georgia's capital to prepare for the upcoming match, since Tbilisi and Yerevan are in the same time zone. Armenia also offered good conditions,” Santos said.

The Portugal manager said Armenia has good chances to win, and the team experienced some difficulties when playing against Armenia in the first match.

“Armenia is a strong opponent, and this match will be as a final for them,” he added.

Armenia will face Portugal in a Euro 2015 qualifier at Republican Stadium on Saturday.
