Michel Platini reelected as UEFA President

French football legend Michel Platini has been reelected Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) President for a third four-year term, the UEFA official website reported.

The 59-year-old Frenchman was first elected as UEFA President in 2007, and was reelected for a second term in 2011.

During his professional football career, Platini played at AS Nancy, AS Saint-Étienne (France), and Juventus (Italy).

He also won the Ballon d’Or—the European Footballer of the Year award—in 1983, 1984 and 1985, and he was a member of the French national team that won the 1984 European Championship.
