Armenia’s Samvel Barseghyan (60 kg) continues his successful performance at the 66th international Stranja boxing tournament, which is held in the Bulgarian capital city of Sofia.
In the semifinals, Barseghyan faced Kazakhstan’s representative and achieved a convincing win.
In Saturday’s final, the Armenian athlete will enter the ring against Elvin Isayev (Azerbaijan).
But the other Armenian boxer who had made it to the semifinals, Artur Hovhannisyan (49 kg), lost to his Uzbek opponent in a tough fight and won a bronze medal.
