2 Armenia athletes guarantee bronze medals

YEREVAN. – The semifinalists are known at the 66th international Stranja boxing tournament, which is held in the Bulgarian capital city of Sofia.

Accordingly, two athletes from Armenia, Artur Hovhannisyan (49 kg) and Samvel Barseghyan (60 kg), also have made it to the semifinals in their respective weight class.

In the quarterfinals, Hovhannisyan defeated his British opponent on a unanimous decision by the ringside judges while Barseghyan beat the Czech representative.

Aside from qualifying to the semifinals, both Armenian athletes have also guaranteed at least a bronze medal, informed the Boxing Federation of Armenia.
