Grandmaster Levon Aronian was declared winner of the Blitz competition in the chess super tournament, which kicked off in Zurich, Switzerland. Aronian—who is currently ninth in the World Chess Federation (FIDE) rankings and who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions, Armenia—tallied 4 points out of 5 possible points.
