Henrikh Mkhitaryan celebrates 26th birthday

Armenia national football squad and Borussia Dortmund (BVB) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has turned 26 on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Mkhitaryan started his professional career in 2006 at FC Pyunik (Yerevan, Armenia), and in 2009, he transferred to FC Metalurh Donetsk (Ukraine). The next year, the player continued his career at FC Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine), where he scored 25 goals in the 2012/13 season of the Ukrainian Premier League, thus setting a record for most goals in one season. In summer 2013, Borussia Dortmund (BVB) dished out €27.5 million for Mkhitaryan, and this was the most expensive transfer in the history of this German club.Henrikh was named Armenia’s footballer of the year five times (2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014). Henrikh Mkhitaryan has made fifty appearances for the Armenian national team so far, and the 16 goals he has scored thus far makes him the top scorer in the history of the squad.
