Chess news on Armenian players

YEREVAN. – Armenian Grandmasters (GMs) Tigran L. Petrosian and Levon Babujian have tallied 4 points, each, after five rounds at the chess open that is held in Al Ain, UAE. They are half a point behind the current leader, GM Gaioz Nigalidze (Georgia).

GM Hovik Hayrapetyan has garnered 3.5 points, GM Arman Pashikian and WGM Maria Kursova have amassed 3 points, apiece, and GM Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, WGM Lilit Galojan and International Master (IM) Manuel Petrosyan have garnered 2.5 points, each, so far.

Separately, GM Zaven Andriasian has scored 2 points after two rounds and is leading, together with several other participants, the open that is held in Groningen, the Netherlands.

IMs Vahe Baghdasaryan, Mher Hovhannisyan and Tigran Simonian, on the other hand, have amassed 1.5, 1 and 0.5 points, correspondingly, Armchess reported.
