Chess news on Armenian players

YEREVAN. – Armenian Grandmaster (GM) Avetik Grigoryan has tallied 5.5 points after eight rounds at the chess open being held in Quezon City, the Philippines, Armchess reported.

Grigoryan is solely half a point behind the current leaders, GMs Anton Demchenko (Russia) and Levan Pantsulaia (Georgia).

Separately, GM Zaven Andriasian amassed 7 points out of ten and, as a result, placed seventh among 100 participants at the open that was held in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan.

International Master (IM) Vahe Baghdasaryan, on the other hand, garnered 6 points in this tournament.
