Tigran Petrosian memorial chess tournament: Aronian vs. Grischuk

The sixth-round matches will be played Monday at the International TASHIR chess tournament in memory of Tigran Petrosian, and devoted to the 85th birth anniversary of the 9th World Chess Champion, which is held in Moscow.

In this round, Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian (Armenia) will face the tournament’s current sole leader, Alexander Grischuk (Russia).

Aronian—who is currently fourth in the World Chess Federation (FIDE) rankings and who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia—played draws in the five previous rounds, and he currently shares third to fifth places with 2.5 points.

All games are slated to start at 4pm Armenia time.
