Henrikh Mkhitaryan with gypsum plaster cast and on crutches

The leg of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who suffered an injury in a German Bundesliga match against 1. FSV Mainz 05 on September 20, is still in a gypsum plaster (plaster of Paris) cast.

The Armenia national football squad’s and Borussia Dortmund’s (Germany) 25-year-old midfielder posted a photograph on his Facebook account, where he is seen with the cast and on crutches.

one step at a time... thank you again for all the love & support,” the Armenia international commented on top of the photo.

Due to his injury, Mkhitaryan will miss the Armenia national team’s Euro 2016 qualification-round group match against Serbia, which will be played on October 11 in capital city Yerevan. His recovery is expected to take about four weeks.

To add, FC Spartak Moscow (Russia) forward Yura Movsisyan also will be out of action in Armenia’s match against Serbia due to injury, whereas it is still uncertain whether Olympiacos F.C. (Greece) midfielder Gevorg Ghazaryan will be able to enter the pitch for Armenia in this game.
