Mkhitaryan could have gone to Real Madrid – sports commentator

Italian sports agent Mino Raiola works with Henrikh since the previous season, and there was an option of Mkhitaryan moving to Real, since Raiola has good relations with Ancelotti.

Russian-Armenian sports journalist and commentator Nobel Arustamyan stated the aforesaid speaking about Armenia national football team and Borussia Dortmund (BVB; Germany) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s unrealized transfer to FC Real Madrid (Spain).

“The Italian specialist [Carlo Ancelotti] had just taken the helm at Real, and they [the Real management] had given him certain privileges.

“Mkhitaryan could have transferred to Real, but Henrikh and Raiola decided that the next step should be Dortmund, and solely thereafter Real, Manchester United [England], or Juventus (Italy),” Eurosport quoted Arustamyan as saying.
