Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian will face GM Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria) in Wednesday’s Round 7 at the Sinquefield Cup chess tournament which is held in Saint Louis, USA. After six rounds, Aronian—who is second in the World Chess Federation (FIDE) rankings and who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia—has 2 points, whereas Topalov has tallied 2.5 points.
GM Fabiano Caruana (Italy) continues to lead the tournament with a perfect record. All matches will get underway at 11pm Armenia time.
