Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian will face GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France) in Friday’s Round 3 at the Sinquefield Cup chess tournament which is held in Saint Louis, USA.
After the second round, Aronian—who is second in the World Chess Federation (FIDE) rankings and who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia—has tallied 1.5 points, whereas Vachier-Lagrave has amassed half a point. All matches will get underway at 11pm Armenia time.
