American boxer Willie Nelson (23-1-1) will be the next opponent of former WBO title challenger Vanes Martirosyan (34-1-1, 21KOs), who represents the US but is originally from Abovyan, Armenia.The bout is slated for October 4 in Connecticut, USA, Boxingscene.com reported.
On March 21, Martirosyan had won the WBO intercontinental belt by defeating Mario Lozano (28-5, 22KOs) via unanimous decision. Nelson’s last bout was on August 8, when he defeated Luis Grajeda likewise via unanimous decision.
