Lahm: It’s apparent that I made right decision

I had decided to end my career in the German national football squad even before the start of the 2014 World Cup.

Germany national team captain and Bayern Munich (Germany) defender Philipp Lahm noted the abovementioned.

“During the season I was saying to myself that I will play in my sixth major tournament with the [national] squad.

“After becoming champions, it becomes apparent that the decision to end my career in the national team was right. They were wonderful ten years.

“Now, I will become a fan of the Germany [national] squad,” L’Équipe magazine of France quoted 30-year-old Lahm as saying.

During his international career with Germany, Philipp Lahm also has become a bronze medalist in the 2006 and 2010 World Cups, and scored five goals in 107 appearances for his country.
